@Chris: The short answer is no, but the more accurate answer is that none of that stuff is stored on a standard audio disc, no matter how it is made.

iTunes can only get album artwork from the iTunes store, not from the disc. And it gets album & track names from the Gracenote CD Database, which, again, is not stored on disc. iTunes will calculate an identifier for a CD based on the lengths of the tracks on it, and then query the database for matching albums. To add your album to the CDDB, simply insert the disc & open it in iTunes, put in appropriate info for each track, then select them, go to the “Advanced” menu, and select “Submit CD track Names”. Since the copies will have the same tracks, they’ll have the same ID.

Great article. Thanks... Had one question though. I have completed an album, mastering and the whole works. I now want to send a copy of this CD burned by my computer to be "replicated" not other burned copies. I understand the they will make a "glass master" and press the CD's. My question is, will this burned CD I am sending them suffice? Also when it is completed by the replication service I am using, will the CD's I receive have album cover graphics and song titles displayed when someone imports the CD through... say... iTunes? Thanks a bunch.

Daniel,

Believe it or not, I've gotten the Red Book question 3 times over the past two weeks. It's a common question, so no need to feel embarassed. I feel like it's a term that needed to be explored directly and explicitly, so I made an in-depth post about it.

As always, if anybody has any questions about audio terms that they want (over)explained, just shoot me an e-mail and I'm happy to oblige.
